Transport to Bardia National Park

You can make your way to Anbasa which is the junction where the Thakurdwara road meets the main highway. This can be done quite easily on public transport from Pokhara or Kathmandu.

You will be faced by the touts who wait at the junction and at Chisapani where the rafting trips finish



We can arrange a vehicle to bring you to our camp from any of the following places:

Nepalganj (87km) - the nearest city with an airport
Jeep: 3000R
Minibus: 4000R
Public bus: 230R per person

Chisapani (28km) - the village at the end of the Karnali rafting trip
Jeep: 1500R
Minibus: 2000R
Public bus: 50R per person

Anbasa (13km) - the junction on the main highway where most buses will drop you off
Jeep: 800R
Minibus: 1000R
Public bus: 30R per person

These are the actual costs to us, as of January 2009, if you try and organise this yourself you will probably pay many times more, but you're welcome to try. We don't make any money on transport and are happy to pick up single travellers on B's motorbike from any of the above locations for free just ring us a few days before to make the arrangement.
